Teachers Enhance Speechcraft and Classroom Management at PRC Accredited Seminar-Workshop on Recreational Reading
DepEd Gensan successfully conducted a Division Seminar-Workshop on Using Recreational Reading to Improve Speechcraft and Classroom Management at the London Beach Convention Center.

This three-day event, which was both NEAP certified and PRC-CPD approved, awarded 12 PRC-CPD units to all teacher participants, further enhancing professional development opportunities for educators.

The event aimed to empower educators in fostering a love for reading among learners, while simultaneously enhancing their oral communication abilities and maintaining an organized, positive classroom environment.

The seminar was led by Dr. Gregorio O. Ruales, EPS in Reading, whose leadership and expertise guided participants throughout the event. His guidance ensured that teachers were equipped with practical techniques to integrate recreational reading into lesson plans, improving learners engagement and learning outcomes.

The hands-on activities and collaborative learning sessions allowed teachers to gain confidence in applying these strategies to their classrooms, encouraging learners to become proficient readers and confident speakers.
This seminar-workshop is part of the Department of Education’s ongoing efforts to improve teaching and learning outcomes across the division.

By empowering teachers with effective classroom management and speechcraft techniques, teachers are now better equipped to create a culture of reading and effective communication in their classrooms, helping every Batang Heneral to become lifelong learners and effective communicators.
