Organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) and Bureau of Educational Assessment (BEA) with support from the Bureau of Alternative Education (BAE), the A&amp;E Test offers out-of-school youth and adults an opportunity to obtain certification equivalent to formal education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to CID Chief Juliet F. Lastimosa, the event&#8217;s success was due to the collaboration of ALS Teachers, DepEd support staff, and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). Learners who pass the A&amp;E Test will receive diplomas equivalent to formal school graduates, enabling them to pursue higher education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Many test-takers expressed gratitude for the program, recognizing ALS as a second chance despite financial and personal challenges.
